Convert & embed video in PowerPoint free

PowerPoint lets insert and embed videos only in specific formats. WMV is a universal video format for PPT presentations. You can convert videos to WMV with Freemake software. The video converter is totally free and easy to use. Follow the steps below and learn how to convert and embed video into PowerPoint:

Step 1. Add your video

Install and run Freemake Video Converter. Browse for the video you want to insert into PowerPoint using the "+Video" button. It may be MP4, AVI, MKV, DVD, FLV video or even YouTube URL.

Step 2. Convert video to WMV

Click "to WMV" and select a profile for your video, better "Same as source". Click "Convert" to save the video in WMV.

Step 3. Embed video in PowerPoint

When the video is ready, just go to your presentation and add it to your PPT slides. Go to the "Insert" tab, under the "Media" group, click on "Video" and select "Video on My PC…". Browse for the converted file and click "Insert".
